There are many dessert blogs online which keep people very busy. There are new ones going up all the time, so one does not have to get bored with one type of thing and there is a huge variation. You may be interested in something more generalized, or you may want to know about something specific involving chocolate or another type of ingredient.
Some people specialize in a certain cuisine, such as French or Italian. You can imagine that there is lots to talk about from this part of the world. The better ones are written by those authors who are from that region and know exactly how to do it. They have grown up baking and cooking and they don't mind passing this information on.
One can learn from each of these blogs, and you will soon see which is your favorite by reading a couple of them and coming back for updates. People who are creative and give you regular news and are entertaining will always create interest and bring in more readers. It is not just about being famous.
There are blogs which people enjoy looking at which will be based on a certain cuisine. Some will only stick to one ingredient, and so if you plan to bake a chocolate treat, then you should search for someone who writes just about that. They will be likely to have more experience in this area and they will probably also have more knowledge.

They should have a newsletter so you know what is happening in the future. This will attract more readers to their site.
If you thinking of starting something like this for yourself, then you have to decide what kind of blog it is going to be. You may want to specialize in something or it could be more generalized. You will have to be passionate about the subject matter because you need to be writing about the same topic and have some knowledge.
